Apple STEM Challenge

We had our first STEM challenge Friday! We learned that STEM means science, technology, engineering and math. We have been learning all about Johnny Appleseed and how he traveled across the United States planting and sharing apple seeds. So.... our challenge was to build a raft that would float (across a river, stream, pond, etc.) with an apple on it. Our supplies were sticks, yarn, scissors and of course apples! The kids had an absolute wonderful time and didn't even realize they were learning!
